I originally created Meeuwsen Country in 1998, when the Internet was fairly new, and no one was quite sure what it would become. The abundance of banner ads on this page is testimate to the post-bubble 'nothing is free' attitude now prevalent in cyber-space, which is coincidentally a word that no one uses any more.

In fact, now 7 years after the fact, I am surprised to find that this page still exists, and more so, that it has been crawled by Google (aka skynet). Because this site no longer represents who I am, or who I have become (and I will NEVER become a blogger), I I'm unlinking all content.
